DAY-TO-DAY CONTACT Tien Caroly

01 · OUR DISCUSSION

What we heard.

The opportunity is not simply to prepare tax returns. It is to create greater confidence around the business, its structure, compliance obligations and the decisions being made as it grows.

01

Structure

Consider whether the current company structure and asset ownership arrangements remain appropriate as the business develops.

02

Contractors

Consider material contractor, superannuation, payroll-related and other compliance risks requiring attention.

03

Protection

Improve visibility over business risks, insurance and areas where specialist advice may assist.

04

Performance

Better understand margins, cash flow, operating costs and other financial pressures as the business grows.

05

Tax

Move from addressing tax only after year end to considering material issues earlier where the selected service level provides for this.

06

Confidence

Establish a relationship with clear scope, greater visibility and access to appropriate support when important matters arise.

This reflects our preliminary understanding from our discussions. Specific advice will depend on the relevant facts, applicable law and the final agreed scope.

Important engagement assumptions

The quoted fees and scope are based on the information presently available to us and assume that there are no material or unusual transactions or circumstances of which we have not been made aware.

We also assume that accounting records supplied to us are reasonably complete, accurate and reconciled, except where maintaining those records is expressly included in our scope.

Requested information and approvals should be provided within a reasonable timeframe so that we have sufficient time to attend to applicable reporting and lodgement obligations.

If the actual circumstances materially differ from these assumptions, we will discuss any additional work and associated fees before undertaking material work outside the agreed scope where practicable.

Bookkeeping & payroll support

Where required, we can separately scope ongoing bookkeeping and payroll support, including transaction coding, bank and credit-card reconciliations, payroll processing, STP reporting and maintenance of accounting records.

The scope and fee will depend on transaction volumes, number of accounts, payroll requirements and the condition of the existing accounting records.

Client responsibilities

Our work will rely on information, records and explanations provided by you and information otherwise available to us.

You should advise us promptly if you become aware of information that may materially affect the advice or services we are providing.
